BriarTek performs all mechanical design in a 3D environment using SolidWorks. This program provides a feature-rich tool set that integrates all aspects of design including mechanical & industrial design, finite element analysis and PCB design integration. Because our designers work as a tight-knit team and the software they employ works collaboratively, we are able to identify and adapt designs to unforeseen problems as they occur.
BriarTek also maintains a Stratasys Dimension fused deposition modeling machine which allows us to “print” new enclosure designs for products during the design and development process using an engineering grade plastic resin. The introduction of this machine to our design facility has helped to push design validation to a new level. It places finished ideas and products in the hands of the designers and third party testers at the push of button.
Whenever a design calls for custom metalwork, BriarTek utilizes its full machine shop which includes a mill, lathe, sheet metal brake, slip roll and shears.
